Blow molding is a rapidly developing plastic processing method. The main principle is to place the tubular plastic parison obtained by extrusion or injection molding of thermoplastic resin into a split mold while it is hot (or heated to a softened state), and then close the mold. Immediately after that, compressed air is introduced into the parison to inflate the plastic parison and stick to the inner wall of the mold. After cooling and demoulding, various hollow products are obtained.
The advantages of blow molding mainly include:

● Can produce products with complex shapes.
Characteristics of blow molding process:
● The products produced are generally used for industrial packaging. The volume of hollow containers can reach thousands of liters. Some productions have adopted computer control.
● According to the parison production method, blow molding can be divided into extrusion blow molding and injection blow molding, and the newly developed multi-layer blow molding and stretch blow molding.

Polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polystyrene (PS), polyacrylonitrile (PAN), polyoxymethylene (POM), ABS, polyamide (PA), polycarbonate (PC), polyester (PET), etc. Among these materials, polyethylene is widely used in blow molding due to its good molding properties and low price.
